How is the weather affecting you?

We have been having some pretty bad weather lately - a few records have been broken nationwide.



And folks this time we cannot blame it on Al Gore  ;D

My wife is freezing!!! All bundled up shivering-and when the temperature here dips below 70 toward evening. . . .  These California winters are just brutal, brutal I tell you!!!!!

Well, let's see... It hit here Tuesday. By Tuesday night we had 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ICE on everything. My lights flickered a few times, but I did NOT lose power. (All Thanks to your favorite diety! :D ) I did lose cable tv + internet. And I work from home... :p  Fortunately the boss got about the same weather, so he didn't complain too much.  ;)  Spent the last 2 days reading magazines and clearing ice from the driveway. Today it was sunny all day, and got warmer than it was "supposed" to, so the driveway is not DRY, the second car is no longer entombed in ice, and my cable and internet are back on!  YAY! Topped it off with a good dinner of Salmon and veggies, and now I'm catching up on all my forums I've missed!  ;D

Here in the NW many people take snow as an unexpected holiday. I like it. In my area we just relax for a day or two until it passes. Only get about 2-3 days of snow a year usually.

Fiance will be shivering most of the year...

Yeah - we broke out the down jackets and mittens when it actually got down into the 50s the other night.

The birds around here aren't used to all of this frigid weather. The other morning my bird bath in the back yard was frozen over and there were a couple of birds sliding around trying to get a drink.

It's been several years since I've seen any frost here.

I can sympathize with William! It's been a bit tough at times, with temperature dipping down to 70 degrees some nights...but, somehow I manage.

Hey Zulu,

You are right!  ;D If it makes you feel any better...we did have a lot of rain for the past week.There has been flooding in many areas of Philippines. No rain yesterday or today yet, so the southern Philippines monsoon season may have come to an end.
