I'm ashamed of my team.

I guess Germany will win this just to piss me off!  >:(

At least one of the Ivory Coast's players is a giant, Didier Drogba, top scorer in the English League. He is one of the world's greats.

It's nice to see mention of World Cup Football--of course in the USA, we still call it soccer, for whatever reason I don't know....Anyways, I am pretty ignorant of the sport and this 'enlightens' me a bit. Those guys are really big celebrities and make huge money as well. I was reading how Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be a billionaire from the game already, at the ripe old age of 25!.

Interesting to see the humanitarian work Drogba has done and how he's even brought some peace to his own violent African nation. It's sort of sad commentary though that when I did a search on the guy, the results came up as follows:
Pictures,
Wife,
Girlfriend

I guess it's more common than not at that level. I've heard from some people inside the PGA that Tiger Wood's alleged antics, as well as what he's owed up to, make him look like an innocent compared to a whole lot of the other pro golfers.

He looks like an angel compared to what the pro footballers from Brazil do...

Kinky sex and sports go together at least as far as the ancient Greeks. Perhaps the greatest baseball player of all time, a guy named Babe Ruth, was notorious for such things, even in an era where it was largely ignored, between WWI and WWII.

Similar behavior/s among political world leaders is nothing new either. It just seems that in the last 30-40 years, it has become much more acceptable for such things to be reported widely to the public.

Money is power, fame is power, status is power. Power corrupts.

So, if that is how you are looking at things, marry a middle-class white guy that lives in suburbia in a Southern or Western US city.

Life may get a little boring, you may never travel farther than the next town over, but life will be stable and chances are he is "normal."
(Especially since I went with the stereotype for a gringo) :P

We both know that is not what you want, sometimes you have to risk a little to gain the world.
