I just walked by a rather dubious looking place with a large expensive neon sign that reads "LIFE GIRLS"….this along with the customs form covering Central America which translates "Dirreccion Prevista" or Foreseen Address…where do they find these people???  Asia aggressively goes after qualified English teachers with the understanding that we speak the universal language. However, Colombia and so forth prefer to pay some deported, repatriated Latin reject whom lived in the USA half the salary rather than hire a native speaker.

i can confirm that the girls at LIFE GIRLS are actually very nice and very ALIVE. I was there just last thursday with some people.

I did mention the sign to the owner when they opend, and he told me that the people that made the sign spelt it wrong, and he did not have enough money to have it fixed at the time, and the sign company refused to change it at there cost, there for the funny sign. Its a classic in panama!

As for other funny translation i have seen, i saw one in spain many years ago on a menu. There is a fish in spain called RAPE, and a dish called Rape Marinara. In the english version the dish was called:
RAPE SEAMAN STYLE.
go figure!

Hahahahah, yep, they are relly lost.

I had a guy in oklahoma ask me if we had cars in sweden, when i mentioned VOLVO and SAAB, he said..no way, those are japanese cars!
