no doubt those going south have or are going to encounter Latinos speaking Spanish at jet speed...my advice, forget trying to get them to slooow down. Your efforts will be fruitless. Use these speeders to improve your language skills. Now being somewhat of a student and teacher of language it never ceases to amaze me of the differences of language spoken by region, economics, etc. For example, have you ever tried to understand the so called English spoken in Australia??? And they are considered native speakers..lol

When I was in college there were a couple English exchange students in my dorm one year, from Birmingham and Liverpool.

It took me a couple weeks to be able to communicate with them.
