Humabdos returns!
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:03:29 PM »
Hello all! Happy New Year!

Glad to report Sallie and I are doing fine. We are getting ready for our trip to Davao in a few weeks! ;D It's been two years since our last trip so we are really looking forward to getting back "home". We will be staying one month and will celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary at the Pearl Farm resort Samal Island.
We are still in contact with RGG in Davao and have a trip to Palawan planned. Can't wait to get out of this snow and rain here in Oregon!

Not sure if I made it back here to give my trip report from our last trip two years ago but we had a great time! Went to General Santos, and drove to Camigan from Davao with RGG.

This trip will paid for by the illegal Mexican who rear ended me earlyer this year! ;D He actually had insurance! lol Anyway I ended up with $8000 for a minor case of whiplash.

Anyone going to be in Davao in Jan & Feb?

Hey Hum,

Dave H is in Butuan, even closer to you.

If the durian & bagoong can't pass the bomb-sniffer test at the airoprt, you can bring me a bottle of Tanduay Superior 12-year-old rum...hic!

 ;D

Yes the Bamboo is doing very well! My neighbor likes it too! They even planted their own so now I don't have to worry about mine getting over there.
My Bananas have done great too. Still looking for a ongoy for the sound effects. Can you spare one?

Dave

137 pesos?!?! What a deal!

They do have Tanduay light or dark, not even the 5-year-old stuff, for about $13 for a 750ml long-neck at the local Filipino supermarket. It's good for lighter fluid in your Zippo...  :D

I just cracked my last bottle of Superior the other day. That stuff is sooooooo smoooooothe!

I still have three bottles of Tanduay 1854, 15-year-old, but I prefer the12-year-old Superior myself. Whenever my wife, her niece, cousins, or auntie goes home for a vacation, they always bring me a couple bottles of the good stuff… HIC!

I really envy you being able to walk down to the mall and pick up a bottle for P137!

Ray

After this years harvest I should have enough to build a small nipa hut. I have built some furniture but working with bamboo is tricky.
