well- the riots are well over. Curfew has been lifted. The King appeared on television yesterday and looked in good health.

There are some stories that the death toll may have been over 2000 in the final riots. I have nothing to base this on other than the statements of someone that should know.

The dead were all red shirts, if the source is reliable.

The red shirts had won and their demands were met. Unfortunately, their leader, the dog Taksin, suddenly made new demands, which would be unacceptable to anyone.

So- the former PM may have lots of blood on his hands.

most of them were paid by eee-taksin to be there. at a rate far above a farmer's salary. Chump change to a billionaire. THey burned some of the government offices up here- and a fire truck. 

Army patrols from about 10PM on. Sorta like being in Cartagena in 03.

Yet they had won!!!! and the egomaniac tried to bite off a lot more. And the rest is blood on his hands. Taksin claims he knows nothing about it.
