I-797 Notice of Action
« on: April 23, 2011, 08:06:33 AM »
I-797 Notice of Action
approval notice

the above petition has been approved . we have sent the original visa petition to the department of state national visa center (NVC) 32 Rochester av. portsmouth, NH 03801
the NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps

well boys & girls it looks like the VSS is slow but they are working

i can tell you that there is a ton of Oct/Nov filers that are hopping mad on visa journey, but i guess after 6 or so months they have the rite to be.

Congrats....the next stage should be a breeze.

If you are proactive with NVC & have been collecting (and have in hand) all the required documents - Marily could be coming back on the plane with you on your return from your next trip.  ;)

Remember after 7-10 days after getting the NAO2 start calling NVC to get the ball rolling - DO NOT wait for them to contact you & and if no info/update on the AVRS.......talk to a live agent.

Note; I receive my case # seven days after receiving the NAO2 hard copy  & went through NVC (from emailing the DS-3032 to case complete) in about 5 weeks ~ could have been less if I didn't delay paying & sending the IV bill/package (I was away for a week).
If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?

well K that all sounds good but there is 1 small fly in the ointment
Marily will not be taking her nursing exam till the 1st week in July
then she will have to wait 2 months for the results
once she has confirmation then she can take the necessary steps to get her nursing license there.
i don't really think she will have it till around Nov.
so if she gets her Visa issued in July we are cutting it rather close on the 6 month window.
i guess the situation that i have is rather unique & we will have to drag our feet a little so everything will be rite timing wise.

it really sucks however it's what has to be done so i see no point in crying about it.
even though it really sucks :(

I was think that you could be there with her when she goes for her interview but I forgot all about the Nurse's exam which couldl delay things a little.

i may still be able to attend her interview however, at this point i think it's best if we do a little delaying when it comes to submitting what the NVC people want

this week I'm having a new septic tank (1000 gallon) installed & my friend is bringing his backhoe to remove all of the old material from the driveway.
I'm sick & tired of having a muddy driveway each spring.
I bet about 4 or 5 dumptruck loads of good crushed road gravel will fix er up.
(Ray is the L9000 available this week?)

i also will make good use of the next few months to finish trimming out the new bathroom & if any of you guys happen to know.....do chicks like it if you have a bathroom door??? if so i think i mite need to add that to me to do list  ;D :D ;D

Sorry pig, but the truck is reserved for special cases and yours is not one of them…

From my experience, she may or may not need the bathroom door. My wife only uses the door when showering in the winter or when she goes in there with her tabo…

That is how the Filipinos have maintainted the secrets of the "Tabo Rituals" from westerners for all of these years. I would personally like to thank Ray, the first western "Grandmaster of the Tabo," for shedding light on the many uses of the tabo.

Damn it man...don't drink that tabo water!

Put the door on the CR...or you will end up watching her take a tabo bath with her clothes on!  ;D

Yeah and it get's damn chilly too. Instead of a 73 degree daily average in the summer, it drops to about 68 average with cold snaps down into the 50s! Down jacket and mittens time.

You are dealing with NVC now - did you send in the NSO certified version?

Piggy:

1. Passport bio pages - passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
2. DS-230 Parts I & II - part II unsigned.
3. NSO Birth Certificate.
4. NBI Clearance.
5. Police certificate (if she have been to other countries).
6. NSO Marriage Records.
7. Photographs.

When she goes for the interview, have her carry ALL of the above with her.
Also have her carry the NSO CEMAR, 99% of the time they may not ask for it but you do not want her to be the 1%.

Piggy do I have to pull out my mallet again?  ;D

NSO = National Statistics Office - The primary statistical arm of the Philippines government. After you get married the county registrar's office where you got married sent in you marriage license to the NSO office & they keep it as record. The same goes for all other documents - birth, annulment, etc,.

http://www.nso-ncr.ph/index.html

USCIS will accept the Registrar's record but NVC & the Embassy will only accept NSO documents printed on NSO paper.

Reading material for you,  see #6 -  marriage certificate MUST be printed on NSO security paper:

I will ha ha.

Have Marily go to the NSO office and apply for the marriage certificate, birth certificate & CEMAR. The CEMAR is Certificate of Marriage(s) & it list her marriage record, NVC do not need it but the Embassy may ask for it it.

Have her request multiple copies as you guys will need them. Have her send 1 set to you which you will forward to NVC and she will keep the rest - make sure you make & include a copy to NVC (the gov. will need a copy for their records - you make the copy for them ha ha) & of course a copy for yourself. Don't get confuse - you will send BOTH the originals & a copy of the originals to NVC.  ;D

At the embassy, the original copies that you gave to NVC will be returned to her.

My wife told me they did ask her at the embassy if she had the CEMAR as well as the other documents with her; she told them yes and handed them the documents but they never open or check them (maybe they wanted to see if she was prepared).  The only thing they open was the photobook that I made & sent to her - I took selected pics of my visits & wedding and made a photo book.

Her interview was very short - they only ask her about 5 questions.

It is best to be organized & prepared!!!!
