14 prepagos busted in poblado for violating lockdown

In the last hours the Metropolitan Police of Valle de Aburrá fined 14 women who were caught in the El Poblado neighborhood of Medellín, violating the mandatory isolation decreed by the National Government.

As detailed by Colonel Oscar Santamaría, deputy commander of the MEVAL Police, the community denounced the fact through a call to 123, so the uniformed officers made a presence at the site and verified that it was a group of sex workers.

The women were allegedly hired by a group of foreigners who were waiting for them in an apartment located in this area of Medellín.

I imagine like most places, the johns are viewed more along the lines of 'valued foreign tourist$' and in a number of ways, perhaps even whilst shopping and working out, are exempted from rules applicable to more 'locals.'

The police here would love to find gringos that are doing anything even remotely improper just so they can try to shake them down

Here is a news clip taking about 8 prepagos and 6 guys that were fined inside an apartment in el poblado

The only way someone could be fined inside is if they didn't live there ....it was probably rented by the 8 prepagos so they would have a place to invite the johns and I guarantee you none of the guys fined were gringos or they would have explicitly said so instead of just saying that someone said the place had been frequented by foreigners

It's great stuff. If anything brings people in here to view, maybe even sign up, it's train wrecks and lurid stories involving sex and hot chicks. Add drugs, crime and scandal, and they eat at the trough even more.


The source --how 'legitimate' or not--fake news, reality--is increasingly moot. It's a bit like ancient Rome--bread and circuses---we just want tawdry free entertainment.

Dont know..just supply and demand..my friend said a taxi driver told him.

On the other hand maybe the price eent up.because too few Are available because of lockdownn
 and the risk of a 900000 cop is too much to risk for them.

Which brings up another topic for discussion..it will be a.lot harder for guys to travel here or anywhere to.pickup a " bride" or whatever for quite a while because of flight restrictions..and even after that because he gals will be extremely timid of getting close to foreigners from virus hotspots like the US.

But that would apply to dating and romance in general.

Who cares who cares? If it's kind of wishing there weren't so many gringos around, 'muddying' up the water, I can relate.

Flights allowing, I'll be staying for close to a month in Davao City, Philippines at our house this summer.

There's a lot more new malls and cool places, places where the locals go, than before. Better beaches, pools....but thereabouts, compared to Manila, it still has that simpler, easier to work 'provincial' vibe going on.
