Kuya ray,

After 5 years looking finally find something nice.. ;D i meet him in filipinacupid couple of days ago, so far so good, i think it was a good catch  ;D hes kind of "the first timer" it comes to online dating. his a Jail Administrator in a federal prison and teach part time at a local college in Florida (criminal justice classes) days passed by he gets really serious, i think his overwhelm you know filipinas are so malambing..  ;D he said it's so different than the white ones lol... his been divorced for 7 years now. he wants to come down in April after he visit his kids in Texas. we talked 4 to 5 hours everyday online on Skype. aside from that we exchange text messages while his working or I'm working. he called my phone, i called his phone too like none stop communication I'm loving it Kuya! he turn off his profile in filipinacupid and saying i don't need that site anymore. ;D

what you think about that kuya Ray its too early to expect?

Hi Day,

Yes, you are correct. We American men are so easily overwhelmed by those loving Filipinas.   ;D

You’ve been looking for 5 years already? You sound like a very careful woman, which is good.

If he is getting really serious after only a couple of days, then just be careful and try to slow him down a bit. No, I don’t think that a visit in April is too early to have a face-to-face meeting. That way you two can get to know each other better and decide if you both want to move on to the next step.

Just make sure that you have a trusted chaperone and introduce him to your family. Just let them know that you are only meeting a friend and you won’t rush into anything. Take it slow and use your good judgement and you will be OK.

I know some ladies wait for years for their ‘pen pal’ to make the next move by getting on a plane and going over for a visit in person, only to be disappointed that he never shows up and she ended up wasting her time on him. So the fact that he is serious about visiting you is a good sign.

Is he a member of this forum also? If not, maybe you could invite him to join up so we can all have some fun discussions together and share our ideas.

Saan ka nakatira sa Pinas?

Good luck sis!

Kuya Ray

Oh yes, Maribel! Welcome back to the forum, and I’m glad you’re not “heartbroken” any more.   :)

Shall we just call you Inday? I always liked the sound of that nickname.

And it’s always nice to have another Dabawenyo on board.

And if this current guy tries to play any games with you Inday, just let us know and we'll send our man in the PI (Dave H) up there to sit on his face with his purple thong... LOL!
