Bear
« on: December 21, 2014, 07:57:39 PM »
Hi everyone! I'm not sure if anyone still remembers me but I'm here to let you all know that Bear passed away the day before Thanksgiving this year. I'm here to look at the archives to copy what he had posted about me years ago for an online journal i'm keeping for the kids. I'm not sure if I'll be back to check this post again but here's a link to my online journal, www.bearhoneymemories.blogspot.com.

Sincerely,

Bear's Honey

My Condolences. Bear and I didn't have a lot of correspondence between us, as he sort of grew tired of certain members, shall we say with their 'grumpiness' here? He obviously chose to enjoy more positive aspects of life, rather than poking around here, but you and he brought (bring) a certain sort of pleasant light here .

But when our threads here did interlink, it was always nice. In fact amongst some of the guys I know here who go further back than I and who really knew Bear, it seems that the word 'nice' was an understatement in describing him.

He's gone and missed, but certainly not forgotten.

God bless you,

Robert

Sorry for your loss. I'm reading your blog right now, although I got a little ways into it and then my eyes watered up such that I couldn't read, but I'll go back and read some more when I can.

I am very sorry for your loss.   I remember him, the name 'Bear', but I do not know him very well.   I've read your blog.  I'm pretty sure he had lived a good life with you and your family.

I do remember the duo of Honey and Bear, you haven't been away that long.  And our condolences to you.  He will be missed.

Thanks Honey, I was very sorry to hear of Bear's death.  He was a wise contributor here when he was around and will be missed.  I visited your website and it is tremendously sad that the boys will no longer have such a good and strong father in their lives, and you such a loyal spouse.

Wow I totally must have missed this post.  My condolences for Bear's passing.  He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.  And an inspiration for many.  As Bear would say in his religion Families are Forever.

I think he really was a likable guy who shared good information, not just all those rosy details, but the thorns too, in a way that helped folks. Unfortunately there were some members here who liked to bust his chops and rather than engage in useless bickering and wasting time with them, he pretty much walked away.

His widow Honey came back here after Bear died this past December (she's one of the quiet members here, but you can look up her posts, as well as Bears and they're informative for new and old members alike) and she left a link to a blog about their story. I hope she and the family are doing well. It was quite clear that Bear loved them dearly and they him.

Hey Honey

I have no idea how often you come here anymore, but I don't know how else  to express my condolences.  Bear was one of a kind and I am quite sad to hear this news.  The two of you were an inspiration to so many here and I'm sure in your lives as well.  I know my life would not be what it is right now without the two of you!

If there is anything we can do, please contact us!!!

I know Gerlie will feel exactly the same way when I tell her!

So very sad to hear of your loss
