robbed at gunpoint
« on: January 25, 2017, 07:12:37 PM »
Early today, my ex-girlfriend's 18 years old daughter and her friend were robbed at gunpoint - to have them their cellular phones.  The man on the motorbike and the lady on the other motorbike and the man with the gun.      It happened when these girls were taking selfies photos each other.

MORAL OF THE STORY - Never use too much selfies - especially everyday, and especially in Colombia !!!

Gato you can't take selfies of each other. You can only take selfies of yourself.

Ok but would they be "selfies" or "groupies"?

What is the difference does it make - it is NOT the point.  The point is that they shouldn't use the cellular to take photos too much -  it increases the chance of being robbed

More a case of where and when, rather than how much..

Medellin (Pedgreal)

Pedregal is by castilla and doce de octubre, definitely no man's land for gringos.  I don't know how dangerous it is out there but it's very far from where you'll find any gringos, very far.

If so, then wouldn't it reduce even further her chances of being robbed if she simply flushed the phone down the toilet?

Having spent a little time in both Pedregal and Manrique I find this very amusing. No man's land for gringos!

I heard of a few grinos going to those barrios very briefly to visit friends or a girlfriend's family, but I've never heard of one single gringo living in those barrios.  I've never heard of one single gringo even discuss the possibility of living in those barrios.

Were they robbed in the bathroom? If so, were the robbers disguised, as well as armed? LOL

Not too many gringos dream of living in strato 2 barrios.  Very very few gringos would even consider living in strato 3, they mainly stick to strato 4 and up.  Actually I think about 90% of gringos in Colombia only stay in strato 5 and 6 barrios.  That leaves the entire northern half of Medellin off limits to gringos.

Thirty seven???!!! Why weren't you dating the 18 year old daughter instead?

I've got some 40 yr old looking mom in Colombia messaging me on fb today.  A while back I randomly fb friended this semi hot chica who lives in Medellin and a week later her mom sends me a friend request and I accepted her.  I also sent the sister a friend request who is the hotter of the two sisters and is dating a gringo, probably a long distance thing.  So randomly today the mom sends me an inbox message with a thumbs up emoji and I replied  with a smiley face emoji.  Then she sends me a voice message saying "hola que mas como estas"?  I don't know if she's trying to hit on me or what lol.  She's clearly at least 40 years old and looks somewhat decent for her age while her daughters are both hot and look to be around 20-21 years old.  I haven't replied back because I see no point since I'm not in Colombia, but when I get back down there I might say hi and see what happens.
