I leave in two days on my trip to Iloilo Philippines. Excited isn't even the word to describe how I feel. I am not much of a traveler and to do this by myself is nerve wracking for sure. I should be there by Friday morning and am being picked up by my girl. I have done as much preparation as I can possibly do. At least I think I have. I have spent the last year learning about the culture, dangers, and delights of the area that I am traveling to. I give my girl props though she has stuck it out for over a year and a half to wait for me to visit her and has dealt with me going through a process of "financial recovery".
I will most certainly be posting trip reports throughout the visit. So far I have a trip to the island of Guimaras, a tour of local churches, and a trip to her parents farm where I will stay for a few days with no AC indoor plumbing and a lot of mud. I am looking forward to the adventure for sure.
