Speedy Green Card
« on: June 05, 2006, 11:43:24 PM »
Giving credit where credit is due, I'd like to point out the timely speed with which the BCIS acted in processing my wife's green card.
We had our "Removal of Conditional Status" appointment at the Chula Vista (San Diego) office on May 15th.  We made an InfoPass appointment for noon.  That time just got you in the door.  From there we had a 2 hour wait to take care of paperwork we wrapped up in 5 minutes when our number came up.  They said it could take up to 8 weeks to get her new card.  But her official permanent residency card (good for 10 years) just arrived today (June 5th).  Pretty speedy work all things considering.  So no worries about coming back through customs when we take the baby to visit grandma this Christmas.  Good for them! :)
