Beatriz goes to Bogota Tommorow night for a Friday,March 24 appointment.We will see.She keeps asking me what I think.I tell her you have a chance or we wouldn't bother with this.About a year ago a nurse near her age and experience and time on her current job got a tourist visa.Someone posted that on one of the sites.At Imbanaco,the hospital where she works her boss says lots of people who work there have them.
But lots of them might be doctors or people who have had the visa since its was easier to get.
Gary Bala,Immigration attorney says he thinks her chances are less than 25%.I am thinking maybe 50%,but maybe that is overly optomistic.
I will post the result and Beatriz and my reactions to it.I'm affraid it might be more tears if she gets turned down like 3 weeks ago when the appointment got messed up.She was devastated,took her a day or so to get over it,but that was knowing she was getting another chance.
If she doesn't get the visa I may go to the states for only 2 weeks.
Also my next surgury is April 1 followed by another minor one about May 15 when we will really find out if it worked.I might not be going myself.I want to be recovered and in good shape or I won't go.
