pensionado Visa
« on: April 29, 2012, 11:05:49 PM »
Anyone have any suggestions for the easiest way to renewal my Pensionado Visa? I live in Colombia and am a retired vet. should I have the certification letter sent to my home address in the states, then have it sent here in Colombia?  My question is can   the letter be apostle here in Colombia or can I have someone  apostle  it for me in the states? I would hate to have to fly back to states for that......thanks

My understanding is that the apostile simply verifies that the notery who noterized the signature on the documents is in good standing and the notery has to be licsenced in the state where the apostile is requested. If you have some one in the states who can run errands for you then the easiest thing for you would be have then do it then fedex the noterized, apostiled document to you in Columbia.
