They won't be exterminated but they probably will be forced to renegotiate...at least eventually. The whole thing may be tabled until the 2018 elections. They received too many concessions or "sapos" for the Colombian people to swallow.

On the same website I found this link: http://colombiareports.com/australian-found-murdered-outside-medellin-police-suspect-assassination/

We are investigating the motives of his death,” said Colonel Giovanni Buitrago, who added that the most probable reason is the victim was the member of a “sex tourism ring,” according to news website Minuto 30.
However, according to national news network Caracol, the victim had become a member of the local gay community since his arrival in Medellin where he resided in Poblado, a neighborhood popular among “first-world” immigrants.
Actually looking at his facebook profile and friends....does give the impression of a gay guy....I guess they threw in the sex tourist accusation just to be on the safe side.

JaJa Ja

Thank God they didnt sign the peace accord.

Maybe , in ordser to pay for all the "Bennies  " the FARC would get, they would fast tract the new "Tax Reform" and get the ex FARCers to kidnap all the Expats and tourists, and tell the press that they were sex perverts, and threaten to kill them if they dont pay up, and tell their family , friends and the press they were Gay , Monger , pedophile  drug pushing pervies..

They wanted a position on senate. Just like the Movement around the world. Look at Venezuela. The Socialist are evil.  The People were wise.
Brexit , Colombia.   Trump? ::)

OH and Netenuaju Israel,  Obama wanted Him out also. 3 wins, 1 to Go.

I've stayed at the Casa Kiwi.  A guy can have some wild times at that place, as well as bouncing around the other hostels in the area.  And I've never played at the basketball court across the street, but I worked out at the public outdoor gym right next to it.  I had alot of good times in that neighborhood.  I think it's time for me to start planning another trip.

This vote has divided my wife's family. Two of her sisters are religious nuts and belong to some fundamentalist Christian group. They aligned with Uribe. The others supported Santos. My wife says that young people who supported the pact did not turn out and the old voted against it. It looks like we are seeing this all over the world where the old are blocking progress. We need another 10 or 20 years before they are all dead and everyone can move along.

Well I must be old because I understand completely why someone would vote against the deal.....I don't think 10 percent of Americans would have voted for it if they were in a similar situation.

If I had to think of just one cause for the agreements downfall it would be that those murderous scumbags not only avoid all prosecution but can enter politics and become your leader.

"It simply enough for good people to do nothing....for evil to prevail".......I'm actually surprised .....the agreement got voted down.

Those are definitely two of the principal reasons many Colombians voted against it. But it isn't over. It's "back to the drawing board". What I'm curious to see is how devoted Santos will be to continuing the project following the initial defeat. I hope he can keep up his "animo". The ELN are releasing kidnaped prisoners and are looking to join the party. Whatever happens I don't think it can return to business as usual now.

the colombian people  knew it was a bad deal, being shoved down their throats by the politicians, is why it was rejected.  no jail time for Farc members for murders and kidnappings and fighters paid  double the normal wage rate here for dong nothing. these were not acceptable to 50.5%

FARC, and virtually all 'organizations' like this are essentially businesses. Whether it be from controlling areas with significant natural resources such as oil, demanding permission---essentially protection rackets, 'revolution taxes' for companies to access such, or be it kidnapping or just demanding a say by having a seat in the political arena, it's basically about money and power.

They may spout a poltical/human rights agenda and maybe even a few of them have one and believe in it, but just like most of the so called 'legitimate' polticians, it boils down to power, money and influence.

Either way, once they have it, it's almost impossible for them to walk away from the trough. Even if they did, remnants of their groups will splinter off and/or new groups will develop to fill the vacuum left by the iligitimate supposedly joining the supposedly legitimate.

It's not nice and pretty, but the only thing that typically greatly reduces the scope and numbers of groups like FARC is fear of being killed or imprisoned. Just as they use fear, it works against them well. They're not 'patriots' willing  to die  for their common countrymen and women.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

Well Boys,

I am one of the Happiest Millions of People that Voted Trump.  And living here in Los Angeles, Ca, is not easy, being surrounded by Atheist and Socialist from Many Foreigner Countries. Many Mexicans, and Chinese, and Central Americans, Atheist Jews, All here
But I just so happen to be seeing a Young lady from Guatemala, Now she knows I voted Trump. But she is still happy as a little Lark, Yak Yak Yak on the phone. Talking to her Marching friends in the streets.Protesting the Trump Presidency.

Meanwhile I have show My Girl  the Movie .Act Of Valor. which Shows exactly what is happening with Terror and Mexico.Islam and the Border.  It really enlightened her. Talk to her about Christ and our founding fathers. and ever since, She has no interest in going to the streets with her Protesting Friends .

Interesting that you single out the Atheist JEWS. Nothing like a little "faux" Christianity laced with some anti-Semitism for good measure. So much for that "Love Thy Neighbor Stuff."

Yeah, sure you really "enlightened" her didn't you. Stop giving her cash/gifts and let's see how enlightened she is.

Well, dweeb, although your post has nothing to do with FARC, I'll humor you. Although your writing does suggest a degree of illiteracy, perhaps the woman in the photographs can show you how to call up a map of the world and direct you to Central America. Asumming that the place in the pictures is in Guatemala, Central America, and---is that a 'Motel 5'  that has wifi? she can probably help. There, if you look closely, you'll see that her home country,  Guatemala, is square inside your maligned Central America. So maybe she's the sole, exception to your disdain for Central America.

Your, errr 'writing' flows with a syntax that seems more Chinese, but then again, it could be that of an ill, uninformed, uneducated American, I suppose. Anyways, enjoy the honeymoon, but this scenario has all the hallmarks of you eventually ending up with her putting a steak knife in your back, once she figures you out and is tired of cooking you dinner and with you buying her 'little somethings'. And never forget: 'Money can't buy happiness'....

Why thank god for that?  That's exactly the problem, millions of brainwashed idiots running around, while trump and his buddies are laughing all the way to the bank.
