Interesting. I don't know that guy but I seem to remember some other members here had some kind of problems with him? The article says she grew up in Chiclayo. It must have been pretty different for a Canadian girl to live there (Chiclayo is relatively small city with not a lot of expats as far as I know).

I've been watching reruns of American Greed. It's a shame that Jeff didn't have some financial education because he could have made big money fleecing investors. This sob story go fund me campaign is nickel and dime stuff.

The daughter is pretty but not exceptional. My hunch is that her father charmed a few people to open some doors.

 Except for me.. I knew something was wrong with this guy... when he said he was attacked by Indians at the end before going to Peru it just rang alarm bells because I went up and looked at every newspaper that was in his area  for weeks before and after the supposed incident and nothing was there not a word! He got no money from me because I could feel something was wrong.

 You seen how long his wife lasted... it took a short time to see he was scamming her too and the kids of his were just basically a pain in the ass. He would not leave a lone even after that... one time he was up on Gringos.com under a assumed name saying how evil she was I slammed him over there too.

I checked out the daughter's fb page and saw a video where she's on a bus with a bunch of other models on their way to a beauty pageant.  She speaks very good spanish.

Canadian Indians kidnapped his kids( he was married to a Canadian Indian) and took them to the tribal reservation. He had to sue in Canadian court to get back custody and then I think the Military went into the Tribal Reservation and took the kids back. He then started to get death threats and that is when he left for Peru to live with the women he scammed into marrying him. I met this guy in person and he is a strange dude ( Pocket Protector Engineer Type Strange).

He called me several times on the phone and we talked through his situations and I told him just go to Peru. He did not however ever hit me up for money as I think he knew I was too smart to be scammed by him.

He is the Male version of a Latina GD Scammer in that he is a very good actor.

I spoke with SFNM many times on the horn, he never asked for money....I sometimes could hear his daughter in the background, I recall her being precocious, in a good way.  At least on the phone, he was very conversational, affable, and level-headed.   
It certainly appears he borrowed a sum of money from several posters, and never paid it back, so that is real bad on him.  I think if he had at least made an effort and even sent token amounts, it would have went a long way to soothe the anger.  I doubt his lenders really needed the money, but it was the principle of him disappearing, and avoiding contact that rankled, and turned his supporters into detractors.

I remember it being just "donations" to help him out. I do not recall the money given by various members here was a loan but I could be wrong.

If some gringo is overseas with no real way to make a good living, I have no idea how one could loan money and except to get it back... realistically.

One could even say that the money went to a good cause since he apparently did a decent job raising his kids.  That's a lot better than all of the sorry @ss men out there who neglect their kids and don't even bother to pay child support.

 Sorry but he is still a scum bag who pulled the wool over some of your eyes... I ran into a aussie woman that ran into him in Peru and he had not changed he tried to clip for for some money, she was less than impressed with him. He was on every web site you could think of with his sob stories about his kids but I am sorry I saw the video his daughter made on the reseveration and the boy did not appear traumatized at all, that came from him!
